Meet Amy

I’m Amy Ketring — photographer, graphic designer, and former 7x world champion equestrian.
Before dogs, it was horses — I grew up showing competitively, chasing titles across the country, and eventually started photographing them. That background taught me how to see movement, timing, and the magic that happens between a handler and their animal when the blood, sweat and tears pay off and everything just clicks.
When I’m not running my other photography business — Buxom Betty Photography, where I create bold, confidence-bursting portraits for women — I’m out in the field photographing dogs. I’m not just taking photos; I’m documenting a sport, a lifestyle, and the bond that makes it all worth it.
When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me hanging out with my own dogs — Phil, my black Lab, a professional attention hog and duck enthusiast, and Hank, my German Shepherd soulmate who takes his job as my bodyguard very seriously. They’re my daily reminders of why I do this work: because dogs give us their whole hearts, and the least I can do is capture them honestly.
Lucky Dog Photography started as a passion project — a way to make sure my Dad and his friends had more than just a few blurry phone pics to remember the day by. It’s grown into a brand that celebrates the focus, joy, and humor of this wild sport. Every gallery is personal, and every image is edited with care.
I’m based in Northeast Ohio and photograph retriever events throughout the Midwest — but I’m always ready to travel anywhere in the U.S. to capture great dogs doing what they love most. If you see me out there in the field — please say hello!
